MEMRI has conducted briefings to members of the U.S. government including the National Security Council, Department of Homeland Security, Justice Department, State Department, Government Accountability Office, Library of Congress, the FBI, and many more. Internal government agencies using MEMRI's research on their websites include those of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Other agencies utilizing MEMRI material include Immigrations & Customs Enforcement (ICE), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Department of Commerce, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Capitol Police, Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), and the United States Attorney's Office, among others.

In early 2009 MEMRI assisted NORTHCOM (Northern Command) in security preparations for the inauguration of President Barack Obama at the U.S. Capitol. MEMRI provided several reports from the Jihad & Terrorism Threat Monitor (JTTM) as well as MEMRI TV clips to officers responsible for waterfront defense of Washington, DC during inauguration weekend.
