Current Military Personnel
Since 1998, MEMRI has been an integral research tool for the U.S. military. On a daily basis, MEMRI assists and lends support to all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, including over 200 individual units.
As a member of the U.S. Armed Forces, there are many ways in which you can keep up to date on current events from the Middle East and Afghanistan. MEMRI is available to help you:
- You, your unit, and your commanders can contact MEMRI's Government Relations Department to arrange a briefing for your division from a MEMRI expert to provide you with important material emerging from jihadist websites and state sponsors of terrorism.
- You, your unit, or your commanders can subscribe to the MEMRI's free e-mail lists, which includes the latest translations and analysis on issues from the Middle East and Afghanistan that directly affect the War on Terror.
- You, your unit, or your commanders can subscribe to the Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor Website and/or the Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor Project Weekly E-Digest Newsletter to keep up to date on threats posed by independent terror organizations as well as by supporters of terrorism and insurgency.
- MEMRI's websites are updated daily. All cover the various hot spots around the Arab world, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan that are of importance in strategic military planning.
